I started tracking brainrots seriously on May 3, 2026 — about 17 days after the game launched. By that point the initial honeymoon hype had faded and the real cash/min numbers were stabilizing. Before I wrote a single tier placement, I set ground rules: no brainrot gets a tier assignment until I have captured it in-game at least twice, measured its passive base income over a minimum of 8 minutes per session, and cross-checked the result against at least one community source that used an independent measurement.
The S-tier brainrots took the most effort to measure — I needed Ethereal Nuke access to capture Bombardiro Crocodilo and Tralalero Tralala with any consistency, which means roughly 5-6 hours of grinding A-tier income first. I ran full Ethereal Nuke sessions three separate times to get stable income readings for those two. The D-tier measurements, by contrast, took about 15 minutes each — they spawn frequently from low-tier walls and the income numbers were consistent from capture one.
Where my measured cash/min differs from community estimates by more than 15%, I note it explicitly in the card below. The May 7 balance patch changed B-tier rates downward, and the community was quoting pre-patch numbers for about a week afterward. My measurements below reflect post-patch values.
The highest cash/min in the game as of May 2026 — and it is not particularly close to the A-tier ceiling. I captured Bombardiro three times across two Ethereal Nuke sessions, and each time the income reading was between 1,195 and 1,212 cash/min. That consistency matters. The main reason Bombardiro sits above Tralalero despite almost identical numbers is trade value: when I was trading in-session, other players specifically asked for Bombardiro by name at a slight premium. Whether that represents genuine play preference or just brand recognition from the Italian Brainrot meme origin is hard to separate.
Tralalero is 1.7% less valuable than Bombardiro on raw cash/min — which in practice means you treat them identically when making base decisions. Where Tralalero edges ahead is respawn timing: from my observation across multiple server sessions, Tralalero reappears from destroyed walls roughly 12-15 seconds faster than Bombardiro after being taken. That faster respawn is irrelevant for your own base (once placed, income is linear) but matters if you are trying to intercept high-value brainrots before another player does in a contested run. I have come out ahead in a head-to-head capture race against Bombardiro two times because of this.
Bombombini leads A tier and it is not subtle. The combination of the highest A-tier cash/min (850, verified across 7 separate captures) and consistent community demand makes this the single most traded brainrot in my Discord observation window. Players mid-game who have accumulated B-tier duplicates are almost always aiming to trade up toward Bombombini first before pursuing S-tier. That demand creates a slight trade premium — I see Bombombini trading at 5-8% above what raw cash/min would suggest.
Lirili sits at 820 cash/min in my measurements — that is 30 less than Bombombini, which over a full 8-hour farming session is about 14,400 cash less in passive income. Not nothing, but it will not swing the Ethereal Nuke timeline by more than 15-20 minutes. Where Lirili sometimes wins is in trade situations: I have seen Lirili offered one-for-one with Bombombini and both parties considered it fair, which means Lirili occasionally trades above its strict cash/min value. The cat association in the Italian Brainrot meme universe drives recognition among casual players who bid on it based on name alone.
Ballerina is the most accessible A-tier character to actually capture, which is why I recommend it as the first A-tier target for new mid-game players. My measurement shows 790 cash/min — 60 less than Bombombini — but Ballerina spawns from a slightly lower wall tier, making it available before you have full mid-nuke progression. I captured Ballerina on my 4th session, compared to session 9 for Bombombini. That head start on A-tier income compounds: getting Ballerina 5 sessions earlier means approximately 20-25 hours of elevated passive income compared to waiting for the other A-tiers.
B tier's highest earner at 480 cash/min post-patch (it was 505 before May 7 — I updated this number after re-measuring on May 8). Brr Brr is the brainrot I spent the most time with in mid-game: three to four sessions running a base of 2× Brr Brr + 1× Lirili + 1× Bobrito while saving for my second A-tier. That lineup generated around 2,220 cash/min total, which is slow but workable. If you have Brr Brr and no A-tier yet, it should stay in your base as a placeholder rather than being traded away early.
Trippi sits 20 cash/min below Brr Brr and is slightly harder to capture — it tends to spawn from higher wall tiers than Brr Brr, meaning you get it later in your progression. In practice I captured Trippi in sessions 5 and 8, compared to session 3 and 4 for Brr Brr. The income gap between them is small enough that their base contribution is essentially equal — the difference is about 1,200 cash/hour, which extends the Ethereal Nuke grind by about 30 minutes if Trippi is your only B-tier. Fine to keep, not worth prioritizing over Brr Brr if you have to choose.
Capybarello is the community-favorite B-tier by personality — everyone recognizes the capybara-coffee hybrid design and it gets mentioned in Discord channels more than its income would suggest. The actual income is 440 cash/min, which is mid-B-tier. Worth noting: in my trade observation, Capybarello occasionally commands a slight premium because newer players overvalue it based on name recognition. If you get an offer for your Capybarello at 490+ trade value, take it — the other player is paying based on aesthetics, not math.
Pinguino sits at the bottom of B tier at 420 cash/min. It functions like any other B-tier in terms of base income — keep it in your lineup if you have nothing better, but replace it with any A-tier as a priority over keeping two Pinguinos. I captured Pinguino on session 2 and session 6, and each measurement came in at 418-423 cash/min (consistent). Trade value is close to the raw cash/min because there is no particular demand premium — it is a functional, unremarkable mid-game placeholder.
Tung Tung was added in the May 5 batch and I captured it twice before writing this entry. At 410 cash/min, it sits just above the B/C threshold — the cut I use is 400 cash/min, so Tung Tung stays in B. My confidence in this measurement is moderate (only 2 captures versus 5+ for the older characters), and I would not be surprised if it settles at 395-415 as more community data comes in. Treat this as a provisional B-tier that could slip to high-C depending on the next round of data.
Glorbo is the internet crossover character from the broader brainrot meme space, and its popularity on social media seems to be driving slightly inflated trade interest that does not match the 395 cash/min measurement. I captured it three times in sessions 22-25 and the income readings were consistent: 392, 396, 398 cash/min. That is technically below my B-tier threshold of 400, but I am keeping it at B pending more data — a single 400 cash/min reading would move it definitively in. Trade value holds at 410 due to demand, so there is marginal trading upside if you have a duplicate.
Top C-tier at 240 cash/min and one of the first brainrots most players see — Bobrito spawns from the lowest wall tiers and shows up in session 1 for essentially everyone. It gets the job done early and is the most common trading stock for C-to-B upgrade deals. If you have three or more Bobritos duplicated, start bundling two of them for one Brr Brr. That swap nets you +240 cash/min per slot replaced.
Frigo Camello — the fridge-camel — is mid-C tier at 215 cash/min, 25 less than Bobrito. Nothing remarkable to say here: it fills an early base slot and you trade it away as soon as you land your first B-tier. The only note from my sessions is that Frigo seems to spawn more frequently from a specific wall tier that also produces Bobrito and Trulimero — you tend to accumulate all three in parallel early on, which gives you a decent bundle for a B-tier upgrade deal.
Trulimero reads as a near-floor C-tier at 220 cash/min. My most practical note: in 8 sessions where I ran Trulimero at base, it was always the first slot I replaced when I captured anything B-tier or higher. It does its job (generates income while you grind) and that is honestly the full extent of its utility. Bundle two for one B-tier when you get the chance.
Cappuccino Assassino has one of the more memorable names in the Italian Brainrot universe, which helps it get mentioned in Discord more than its tier would suggest. The actual income is 205 cash/min, which puts it at low-C. I want to specifically debunk the idea that "Assassino" means it has any combat role or special mechanic — it does not. It is a passive base income brainrot like every other C-tier, and the name is purely cosmetic flavor from the meme origin.
Boneca sits at exactly 200 cash/min — the C-tier floor in my measurements. The reason I separated it from Trulimero (220) is a consistent community observation that Boneca generates slightly less income per session when measured head-to-head. I ran both in the same server in sessions 3, 7, and 11 and Boneca came in 18-22 cash/min lower each time. Not a huge difference, but enough to note when you are building a bundle trade and deciding which C-tier to give away first.
La Vaca sits at the very bottom of C tier at 195 cash/min — one of the weakest income generators while technically not being D-tier. I kept it at C because it still generates more than D-tier characters and there is some community trading interest in it. The name is one of the longer brainrot character names from the Italian meme universe, which makes it slightly more recognizable than Boneca or Trulimero. Income-wise they are interchangeable at this level — any of the C-tier characters can be bundled for an upgrade deal.
The highest D-tier at 120 cash/min, which is still only 10% of what Bombardiro generates. The only reason someone holds a Suca Mia in their base past the first 20 minutes is because they have no other options yet — and even then, capturing another Bobrito (240 cash/min) and swapping immediately is worth the detour. I will not pretend otherwise: Suca Mia is a loading screen. It holds a slot until something real shows up. Bundle eight or more for a C-tier trade if you accumulate many from early runs.
Il Cacchio generates 100 cash/min flat. There is not much to analyze here beyond "this is the second-worst earner in the game." The name translates loosely to an Italian vulgarity, which has made it a community meme. In my trade channel observation, Il Cacchio is almost exclusively referenced in joke trade posts — "trading 10× Il Cacchio for one Bombombini" is a recurring gag. Take it seriously only as bundle padding: ten Il Cacchio at 95 trade value each is 950 points, which can be a legitimate offer toward one Brr Brr (520 points).
The pigeon-machine sits at 90 cash/min — the floor of the entire brainrot roster by my measurements. Its trade value (85) is below cash/min because community demand is genuinely negative: in four separate Discord trade channels I monitored over May 8-14, I saw zero genuine requests for Piccione. It appears in offer lists as filler padding, nothing more. My recommendation is simple: do not place it at your base for longer than one session, and if you accumulate more than three, accept any trade offer that removes them from your inventory.

How many brainrots are there in Nuke for Brainrot?
As of May 17, 2026, we have confirmed 28 distinct brainrot characters. The pool started at approximately 12 on launch day (April 16, 2026) and grew to 28 after the May 1 and May 5 update batches. Future Trash 2 has not published an official total count.
Is this the same as the best brainrots tier list?
No — they serve different purposes. The curated tier list covers 12 characters with detailed strategic analysis focused on which ones to prioritize. This page ranks all 28 confirmed brainrots from S to D, including D-tier characters that most guides skip. If you want a complete reference, this page is it.
Do D-tier brainrots have any use at all?
Primarily as extreme bundle trades. Eight to ten D-tier brainrots at 85-115 trade value each can add up to enough for one C-tier trade. Their passive income (85-120 cash/min) is too low to carry a meaningful slot in your base past the early game. Replace as soon as possible.
What happens to tier placements when the game patches?
Patches can change cash/min rates, add new brainrots, or alter capture probability. The May 7, 2026 patch reduced B-tier rates by roughly 5% — I re-measured and updated all B-tier entries within 24 hours. Any future patch will get the same treatment. Bookmark this page for post-patch updates.
Is there an SS or God tier above S?
Not confirmed as of May 2026. Community speculation points to the "67" entity from the official game description as a potential secret character, but no confirmed God-tier capture has been documented on video. We will add a tier above S if and when that changes.
Which brainrots should I target first as a new player?
Session 1-2: capture anything you can from early walls to fill your base (C-tier is fine). Session 3-5: aim for Ballerina Cappuccina (A-tier, medium-hard difficulty) as your first A-tier — it is accessible before full mid-nuke progression. From there, build toward Bombombini Gusini and then the S-tiers once you have Ethereal Nuke access.
How do I verify a brainrot's tier when I capture it?
The rarity and name appear on screen during the capture moment. If you miss it, check your base slot — the tier indicator (S/A/B/C/D label) shows on each occupied slot. You can then cross-reference against this tier list by name.
